Frequently Asked Questions
Bookings & Sessions
How do I book a session?
All bookable sessions are scheduled via the online booking system. Simply choose your session and available time, and follow the prompts to confirm your booking.
Which services can be booked online?
Sacred Bodywork sessions and Herbal Consultations & Guidance are booked online. Women’s Circles, workshops, and follow-up consultations are arranged separately and are not booked through the system.
Do you offer follow-up consultations?
Yes. Follow-up consultations are offered when appropriate and are discussed after your initial session. These are arranged directly rather than booked online, to ensure they are truly needed and well-timed.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please provide as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations or missed appointments may incur a fee, as time has been set aside especially for you.
Custom Herbal Formula – Acute Support
What is a Custom Herbal Formula?
A Custom Herbal Formula is created to support one acute condition only. It may be prepared as a tea, tincture, or topical, depending on suitability and your preferences.
How do I request a Custom Herbal Formula?
The first step is to complete the Custom Herbal Formula Questionnaire. This allows for careful consideration of safety, timing, and appropriateness before any formulation occurs.
Is the questionnaire mandatory?
Yes. A formula cannot be created without the questionnaire being completed in full.
How does payment work?
There is a fixed assessment fee for reviewing your questionnaire. If a formula is recommended, you will be contacted with next steps, including formulation costs, before anything is prepared.
Does completing the questionnaire guarantee a formula?
No. Completion of the questionnaire does not guarantee that a formula will be prescribed. If a custom formula is not suitable, you will be advised accordingly.
Womb-centred Care
What is Womb-Centred Care?
Womb-Centred Care is a traditional, ritual-based practice that considers your cycle, life stage, symptoms, and intentions. It works on physical, emotional, and energetic levels and is approached with care, respect, and clear boundaries.
When is womb-centred care not suitable?
Womb-centred care cannot be offered if you are pregnant, actively bleeding or menstruating, or experiencing an active vaginal or pelvic infection.
How do I know if this practice is right for me?
Suitability is assessed through discussion and, where relevant, intake information. If womb-centred care is not appropriate, alternative support options may be suggested.
What to Expect
What happens in a first session?
Your first session includes time for conversation, listening, and assessment, followed by the selected modality. Each session is Personalised and guided by what is appropriate on the day.
Do I need a diagnosis to see you?
No. You do not need a formal diagnosis. Sessions focus on your experience, goals, and overall wellbeing.
Is this medical treatment?
No. Services offered are complementary and educational in nature and are not a substitute for medical care.
Can I combine different services?
In some cases, yes. This is discussed individually to ensure the combination is supportive rather than overwhelming.
General
Do you work intuitively or clinically?
Both. Care is grounded in training and experience while also being responsive, present, and guided by what arises in the session.
Will I be rushed?
No. Sessions are held with care and attention, allowing space for the work to unfold without pressure.
Workshops & Women's Circles
What types of workshops do you offer?
Herbal Touch offers seasonal herbal workshops, children's nature-based sessions, women’s circles, womb wellness workshops, and small-group immersive experiences. Offerings change with the seasons and location.
Do I need prior herbal knowledge to attend a workshop?
No prior experience is required. Workshops are designed to be accessible, educational, and experiential, whether you are brand new or already working with herbs.
Are workshops suitable for children?
Some workshops are specifically designed for children and families. Age suitability is always clearly stated in the workshop description.
What happens in a women’s circle?
Women’s circles are held as gentle, facilitated spaces for rest, reflection, seasonal awareness, and embodied practices. They may include herbal teas, guided discussion, ritual, or creative activities.
Is a women’s circle therapy or counselling?
No. Women’s circles are not therapy or counselling. They are community-based, peer-supported spaces focused on connection, presence, and cyclical awareness.
Do I need to share personal information in a circle?
No. Sharing is always optional. You are welcome to simply listen, rest, or participate at a level that feels comfortable for you.
What should I bring to a workshop or circle?
Details are provided with each booking. Generally, comfortable clothing, a water bottle, and an open mind are all that’s required.
What is your cancellation policy for workshops and circles?
Due to limited spaces and preparation involved, workshops and circles are generally non-refundable. Transfers may be offered where possible if notice is given.
